Regular cleanings are very important for your dental and overall health. Healthy gums are essential, as they are the foundation for the teeth. Careful screening can prevent gum disease and tooth loss. There have also been studies that have found a correlation between gum disease and heart disease.
An oral exam every six months will help to find potential problems before they become major issues and allow them to be corrected earlier, and usually at much less cost. We strive to maintain you natural tooth structure as long as possible by being conservative with restorations. We want you to have a healthy and beautiful smile and would like to help you maintain your oral health.
Sealants are small amounts of filling material that are placed over the grooves on the chewing surfaces of teeth. They are almost invisible and they protect the grooves from accumulating plaque (bacteria) that cause tooth decay. Sealants are usually placed in children and teenagers to protect their newly erupted adult teeth. Many times sealants are covered by insurance and can help prevent costly cavities.
